Sea World San Diego
Sea World is a 189-acre adventure park with shows, marine-life attractions and rides. Shamu Adventure features killer whales. Clyde and Seamore in Deep, Deep Trouble is an undersea, submarine-themed show with sea lions and otters. Guests can spin, splash and swirl around a tropical island at Shipwreck Rapids. Manatee Rescue allows for underwater viewing of these endangered marine mammals. Pets Rule!, a show where trained cats, dogs, birds and a pig wreak havoc on bewildered humans, features primarily shelter-adopted animals. Journey to Atlantis is a wet and wild coaster. Two summer shows are Cirque de la Mer, which takes guests to the mythical island of Amphibia, where humans and sea creatures demonstrate superhuman abilities in acrobatic-like acts, and Riptide, an extravaganza featuring live music and gymnastics. The 4-D movie R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse has multi-sensory surprises. Other highlights are Wild Arctic, a simulated ride into a frozen landscape; Rocky Point Preserve dolphin habitat; Penguin Encounter; Shark Encounter; Forbidden Reef, where guests can touch bat rays; many aquariums; and Shamu's Happy Harbor, an interactive play area.
